Environmental Policy Banner Bags is the only UK manufacturer of fashion bags crafted from recycled advertising banners. Our innovative products transform used PVC and polypropylene advertising banners into a unique fashion accessory. Instead of disposing of unwanted banners in landfill sites, we turn seemingly valueless items into eco-friendly fashion. As a business lead by an environmentally sound product we are very conscious of the negative impact our own activities have on the environment and we believe that it is our responsibility to recognise and reduce those impacts. We will strive to continually improve our environmental performance and prevent pollution of land, air and water. It is the responsibility of the Managing Director to promote the principles of the policy and manage the internal procedures to reflect those principles. In support of our principles we will: Comply with and where feasible exceed the minimum requirements of all applicable environmental legislation. Create innovative products which will re-use and recycle items destined for landfill. Keep up to date with environmental issues and the environmental impacts of our activities. Monitor our progress on a regular basis. To further reduce the negative impact our activities have on the environment we aim to: Maximise the yield from each of the advertising banners to reduce the volume of trimming wastes. Reduce the amount of energy used at our premises. Minimise the volume of water used for cleaning and domestic type activities. The above policy is endorsed by the Managing Director who is responsible for its implementation and will ensure it is reviewed and updated when necessary.
